About the Author
Indu Shekhar Thakur, a professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, has over 23 years of teaching experience in environmental science. He holds a postgraduate degree and a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Dr. Thakur has published over sixty research papers in international peer-reviewed journals and twenty in national journals, and presented more than ninety papers at scientific conferences and project committee meetings. He has also deposited seventeen gene sequences in GenBank.
