About the Author
Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was a prominent intellectual figure and widely influential author of the twentieth century. He was a fellow and tutor in English Literature at Oxford University before becoming the unanimously elected Chair of Medieval and Renaissance English at Cambridge University in 1954, a role he held until his retirement. Lewis authored over thirty books, reaching a broad audience with works that continue to captivate new readers annually. His most recognized and celebrated contributions include Mere Christianity, Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the acclaimed Chronicles of Narnia.
