About the Author

Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was a prominent intellectual figure and widely influential author of the twentieth century. He was a fellow and tutor in English Literature at Oxford University before becoming the unanimously elected Chair of Medieval and Renaissance English at Cambridge University in 1954, a role he held until his retirement. Lewis authored over thirty books, reaching a broad audience with works that continue to captivate new readers annually.
