R Sreevani MSc (N) PhD (Psychiatric Nursing) is Professor and HOD, Department of Psychiatric Nursing, Dharwad Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (DIMHANS), Dharwad, Karnataka, India. She was awarded PhD in Psychiatric Nursing under National consortium for PhD in Nursing from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. She has secured her masters degree in Psychiatric Nursing from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, Karnataka, one of the premier institutions in the country. She has the distinction of graduating from College of Nursing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh holding 1st rank and securing four gold medals instituted by student welfare bodies.

She is a certified Body-Mind-Spirit practitioner from Hong Kong University, Hong Kong, and also has a PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics Management from Institute of Social Sciences and Research, Vellore (Tamil Nadu). She has authored “Psychology for Nurses”, “Mental Health Nursing Practical Record Book” and co-authored, “Question Bank (Mental Health Nursing for Undergraduate Nursing Students)” published by M/s Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers (P) Ltd, New Delhi.
