The tenth installment in Simon Scarrow’s acclaimed Eagles of the Empire series, THE LEGION delivers thrilling action. In Egypt, AD 49, Prefect Cato and Centurion Macro face a perilous mission: to hunt down and eradicate a ruthless band of former gladiators turned pirates. These hardened criminals, fueled by vengeance, are desecrating temples, sinking Roman vessels, and ruthlessly murdering civilians. Compounding the danger, these pirates operate under the guise of Macro and Cato’s names, aiming to incite rebellion against the Roman occupation. Their actions are already proving effective. If Macro and Cato cannot neutralize the pirates swiftly, the consequences could threaten the very existence of the Roman Empire.
