About the Author

S. Ram Reddy, Professor Emeritus of Microbiology at Kakatiya University, brings over four decades of teaching and research experience to his authorship and editing of more than forty books. His research, encompassing microbial physiology, bioinoculants, and biodiversity, is reflected in nearly 200 publications in national and international journals. He has supervised 30 PhD students and completed eight research projects funded by various agencies. He received the Best Teacher Award from the Andhra Pradesh government in 2008 and, post-retirement, was awarded prestigious BSR Faculty and Emeritus Professor Fellowships. He is a Fellow of the Indian Phytopathological Society and an active member of numerous academic bodies. S. M. Reddy, Professor Emeritus of Botany at Kakatiya University, is a renowned botanist with extensive university-level teaching experience in Botany and Microbiology. His research contributions span microbial diversity to microbial technology, resulting in nearly 500 publications in national and international journals. He has supervised 40 PhD students and completed 25 research projects funded by various agencies. He has authored and edited 30 books on university education. He served as president of the Society of Mycology and Plant Pathology, the Indian Botanical Society, and the Botany Section of the Indian Science Congress.
