About the Author

Prof K Venugopal, BE, MSc. (Engg.), FISE, MISTE, was Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has served the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu for more than 35 years. He is a recipient of ‘The Best Citizen of India’ award from the International Publishing House, New Delhi. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of the BIS and Life Member of ISTE. He has authored Engineering Drawing & Graphics and also co-authored (i) Engineering Drawing +AutoCAD (ii) Engineering Drawing, and (iii) Engineering Graphics. Dr V Prabhu Raja, ME, PhD, FIE, MISTE, is Professor of Mechanical Engineering, PSGCT, Coimbatore. He has to his credit 105 technical papers published in National and International Journals and contributed in Conferences. He has conducted 30 Continuing Education Programs and executed 40 Industrial Consultancy Projects in the area of Finite Element Analysis. As Principal Investigator, he has successfully completed eight Research Projects, sponsored by DST, C-MAT, IGCAR, BRNS and DRDO. One major research project is in the area of Machine Tool Engineering undertaken in collaboration with two industry partners. Another major project is related to the structural integrity assessment of roof slab of nuclear reactor, which was sponsored by BRNS, Mumbai and executed in collaboration with IGCAR. He was also the coinvestigator of four research projects sponsored by DST, AR & DB and AICTE. He has guided eleven Doctoral Research scholars and is presently guiding two scholars. He is the Organizing Secretary of the prestigious AIMTDR-2021 conference. Earlier, he has served as a Senior Engineer in the Engineering Research Centre, Tata Motors, Pune. He has co-authored (i) Engineering Drawing +AutoCAD (ii) Engineering Drawing and (iii) Engineering Graphics. He is a recipient of the ‘PSG Teacher of the Year Award 2015’ for his academic contribution towards the development of the institution
