About the Author
Always frustrated by the lack of clarity in the books he read as a child, Jack has long believed that the amazing advances in science and technology were accessible to a wide audience.
After studying physics in London, he trained as a science and maths teacher before working in the Education Department at the London Science Museum and their flagship interactive gallery, Launch Pad.
Jack left the museum in 1991 to write science books and write and present science shows in museums, libraries, and schools.
Since then, he’s done it all, with nearly 40 books to his name.
He also acts as a consultant for other people’s science books and sometimes as a television consultant, helping to develop or refine new ideas.
He is also a musician and singer, writing, producing, and performing music. He lives in Bristol, UK
